Suzanne Collins does it again... [Oct. 8th, 2009|04:57 am]

For those of you that don't know ...
This is the second book in The Hunger Games series and like the first book, it is amazing. I have been waiting in anticipation for nearly a year for this book, and now she has me eagerly waiting for the third installment. Although it IS a "Young Adult" series, Lionsgate picked up the right for the movies. That should give you some clues as to the content of the books. Imagine Survivor on acid and to the death (rather than to tribal council) with kids and that is the Hunger Games.

Hidden meanings of dreams [Sep. 5th, 2009|06:11 pm]
[Current Mood | worried]

So I had a dream last night that was interesting, but given recent news in my life the meaning of it was pretty clear to me.

I dreamed about Twilight (how cliche I know, but hear me out). I was a Cullen and I was asking Esme to let my parents stay with us. "I wont ask you to heal them, I know that isn't their destiny, but I need them with me while they are here" was what I explained to her. I woke shortly after this.

My mind deep in though during my most unconscious hours...

Comeback in Hindsight [Aug. 16th, 2009|09:44 am]
[Current Mood | okay]

So recently, someone I don't know, placed a mean message in my LJ about how sorry they felt for my children because at 11 o'clock at night after working all day and being sore and tired I misspelled a word. (O_o) I laughed and deleted it. After thinking about it for a few minutes it occurred to me that I should have replied to them and mentioned that my daughter is in a gifted program and has been IQ tested with a 139 IQ (140 is genius), and my son is way to bright for his age as well. Despite how many words I may misspell, this person's children will have to deal with a douche bag as a parent their whole life. I wonder who is worse off...? I'm guessing my genius kids will be fine...

Side notes [Aug. 8th, 2009|10:11 am]
[Current Mood | tired]

Is it wrong to hope to go into labor just to avoid work for the next few weeks?

On a side note...
There are quite a few movies coming up I wish I could see...
District 9
Time Traveler's Wife (reading the book at the moment)
Ponyo
Spread
Lovely Bones
Cirque de Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
Where the Wild Things Are
..... just to name a few

Another side note...
I realized at some point in Febuary or March that I had stopped posting my monthly list of what I read... I've kept a daily calendar though and plan on posting a year long list at the end of the year.... FYI

What mistake made in your youth do you most regret now?

View 504 Answers

I've always lived my life with the idea that if I'd done anything differently I wouldn't be who I am today. I like who I am today, so I have no regrets.
